The Casino du Lac-Leamy Sound of Light Show by the Canadian Museum of History has become the highlight of the summer in the Ottawa/Gatineau area. Throughout five evenings, five designers from five countries will create unique and stunning pyro-musical displays where fireworks are synchronized with an original soundtrack. The show was first presented in 1996, and since then has featured some of The Casino Lac-Leamy Sound of Light. The Casino Lac-Leamy Sound of Light is an annual international fireworks competition promoting cultural discoveries through the establishment of a varied and international artistic program, encouraging the participation of all the population in the activities of the event . Organizers of the Casino Lac-Leamy Sound of Light Show and the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival are teaming up to produce the "largest display of summer fireworks in the country" on Aug. 15.
